Typically our mixed breeds are from our hens that lays the colorful eggs. The green shades, blue, cream, dark brown or speckled.  You will have fun with watching these chicks grow up and seeing what they become. Along with the surprise of what colored egg the hens lay.

Our Project pen consists of English and traditional Orpingtons. Orpingtons are a hardy bird, very docile and have a great temperament.  The English breed has a wonderful broad breast and are heavy in weight, making them a great dual purpose chicken. The Hens are good, consistent layers of brown eggs.  -Lavender Rooster over the following Hens: Lavender, Blue, Mottled and Buff.

Broad Breasted and full body, these beauties are dual purpose chickens. Docile and well mannered, and layers of brown eggs. The Hen is a 2 tone Buff color and the Rooster has the Buff color with barring of golden highlights and light brown.

The English Jubliee Breed is new to us here, as of the spring of 2022 when we hatched some eggs that came to us from Texas.  The plumage of these chickens is phenomenally striking, with red, shimmering green, brown and white. Like the other Orpingtons, great dual purpose, consistently lays brown eggs and friendly.

Black Copper Marans,  Full bodied, shimmering Black feathers with feathered shanks. Our hens lay beautiful dark brown eggs, some with speckles and some with a heavy bloom that appears to be purple in color.
