The Hennery's Policies

Shipping 

At this time we Do Not Ship Live Birds or Eggs, these are local Pick-up Only

All other items can be shipped within the U.S.

Purchasing Chicks & Ducklings 

  • For Bio-Security reasons we do not accept any returns on any Chicks, Chickens, Ducklings or Ducks, all sales are final once they have left The Hennery.

  • We sell Chicks and Ducklings as straight-runs only, no sexing. 

  • Must purchase a minimum of two (3) Chicks or two (3) Ducklings.

  • A 50% Non-Refundable Deposit is required if we are hatching Chicks or Ducklings for you to  purchase. And must be picked up and the remaining balance paid in full within 48hrs of hatch. If not, an added surcharge will be required. 

  • We sell Chicks and Ducklings on a first come, first serve basis. We will not put a hold on Chicks or Ducklings.  

  • Chicks or Ducklings that haven't hatched, may be reserved with a 50% Non-Refundable Deposit. We will let you know the anticipated hatch date, when they start to hatch, as well as when they will be ready to be picked up. All Chicks and Ducklings must be picked up and the remaining balance paid in full within 48hrs of hatch. If not, an added surcharge will be required. 

  • If we are not able to fulfill your order as anticipated; due to abandonment of nest by a broody hen, incubator malfunction or power failure that can occur, we will reach out to you as soon as possible to discuss other arrangements. 

  • Pricing of Chicks and Ducklings is based on their age at the time of sale, as well as if they are a purebred or mixed breed. 

  • We reserve the right to increase a quoted price on Chicks or Ducklings, if the quoted price is over a month old from when originally quoted.

  •  Our Chickens and Ducks are not considered SOP and are not hatched, raised, or bred as such. 

Education

We love to talk all about Chickens! Everything has an opportunity to be a learning experience.

We welcome and encourage educators and parents to reach out to us about incorporating a lesson plan that includes the process of incubating and hatching chicks.  We will provide the eggs at no charge and once they have hatched the chicks can come back to The Hennery. Before Purchasing

When purchasing Chicks, Chickens, Ducklings or Ducks, please be sure to be prepared beforehand with the essentials that they will need.  i.e. Feed, bedding, heat, shelter.

Our Promise to you

  • We will not knowingly sell you any Chicks, Chickens, Ducklings or Ducks that are sick, diseased or have a "fowl" temperament.

  • We are always available and happy to answer questions or concerns you may have regarding your Chicks, Chickens, Ducklings or Ducks.

  • All Hatching Eggs will be picked especially for you, double checked for any imperfections or flaws that could prohibit the growth of the embryo.

  • Our fertility rate with our Hens is about 99% and our success in hatch rate is well into the mid 90%. There are a lot of variables that come into play with the development of chicks and ducklings. Please keep that in mind when purchasing Hatching Eggs, not all the Eggs will come to full term and hatch and we do not guarantee this. 

  • We occasionally have adult Chickens and Ducks available to sell, please contact us.
